ANSWERING THE CALL: Emergency responders from as many as 19 agencies from across Nova Scotia arrived over the Easter weekend (April 17-20) to search for a local four-year-old boy who had fallen into the coastal waters around Cook’s Cove, near Guysborough. According to Municipality of the District of Guysborough Warden Paul Long, “All around, everybody’s coming together and doing what they do.” Though the RCMP says the official search operation has been suspended, a new Facebook page now reflects the community’s determination to carry on and support the family of young Oakley.
